Changing the world one random act of kindness at a time.

FR  DE

We are putting on our cowboy boots and heading to the home of country music, Nashville, Tennessee for the Supernatural Convention this weekend, March 8-10. Regional Representative Alan Christian and Partnership Manager Maria Christian will be at the Random Acts table in the vendors hall of the beautiful Gaylord Opryland Hotel. We will have some swag, as well as some blank cards for you to write notes of kindness to your fellow con-goers! We are always excited to hear (and witness!) your stories of random acts of kindness, so please come by and tell us all about them. Every convention we partner with a local organization that is making a difference in their communities. This year, we have chosen to work with The Little Pantry That Could.

About The Little Pantry That Could

“Our one goal is to serve our neighbors in need.” This organization, founded in 2010, was the brainchild of Director Stacy Downey who, after a flood in Nashville, saw a need for access for displaced individuals to healthy food. There has been a 50% increase in the need for food assistance in Nashville-Davidson County since 2006. The pantry is a firm believer in the “Dignity in Choice” ethic, and does not ask for any sort of financial qualifications from the 200 families a week they serve. They only strive to make sure that each individual that visits knows that they are cared for and important, and that their food needs are met with healthy choices.

How You Can Help

We are going to be gathering food and supplies for The Little Pantry That Could at the Random Acts table all weekend. If you are attending, you can bring any of the following for donation.

  • Canned fruits and vegetables (This is what they need most!)
  • Non-perishable food items
  • Sleeping bags
  • New men’s shoes sizes 10-13

Please note – the organization will be coming to pick up all donated items at 5:00pm on Sunday (March 10) so please make sure to have all of your donations in by then!

If You Are Not Attending

Please visit The Little Pantry That Could’s website for more information on how you can donate directly to them, or if you live in the area how you can volunteer your time. You can keep up with our shenanigans all weekend by following us on Twitter.
